Includes a GE universal remote control with new batteries, AV cable, and instruction sheet. The universal remote provides access to the setup menus, on-screen display, and tape direction functions.
The front-panel display is very dim but this does not affect the picture quality. This display only showed the clock when off and the tape direction modes. The remote control provides access to the on-screen display which shows more information than the front-panel display did anyway. Machine is otherwise very clean and works perfectly.
Quasar was value-priced sub-brand of Panasonic. Quasar VCRs have the same build quality and picture quality as Panasonic VCRs. The major difference was front-panel trim. Panasonic VCRs had a "Blue Line" on the front.
