These cogged "timing belts" are 2mm wide like the original, so they work perfectly. We have them custom made to be an exact fit for Sony 5-Disc Carousel CD Changers made between 1991 and 1999.

Be careful with other vendors selling 3mm wide belts. They may not work smoothly because the pulleys are also 3mm and there is not always enough clearance due to tolerances. This is likely the reason why Sony used 2mm belts in these machines. Not many belt manufacturers are capable of producing 2mm wide timing belts and no one makes them off the shelf. We worked hard to find a manufacturer who was able to make these for us. I am not aware of any other company selling these exact-fit belts.

These belts can be easily accessed by removing the bottom cover from your machine.
